![]() It has a nice historical grounding with little light touches and flourishes of fairy tale weaved carefully throughout. Romance actually hasn’t been too fantastical (or not nearly as much as I feared). I am playing my first campaign on Romance, but I might try Records next (not sure). ![]() Really excited to see how this develops and gets further fleshed out with updates and DLC. Recently Xiahou Dun has grown to detest and almost hate Cao Cao for a variety of reasons so now I fear I need to split my army and keep them separated despite thinking they would be inseparable earlier. Even more interesting Cao Cao starts with the hero Xiahou Dun and they are great friends like Han and Chewbacca at the outset and they have spent my entire campaign in the same army battling side by side. One of Cao Cao’s relatives whom I have installed in a government position really despises Cao Cao’s heir. The interpersonal dynamics/relationships add a nice touch and create some interesting situations and decisions. My overall performance is quite nice as I hover near 60 FPS on Ultimate settings most of the time (with occasional drops during intense battles and such) on a GTX 1070 at 2560x1080. My turn times and battle load times have been really quick and I have this installed on a old platter HDD. I initially and briefly had some of the Yuan Shao stuff mentioned upthread, but that was early on in the campaign and then it sort of feathered off and hasn’t really bothered me for a while so it isn’t universal. This might be the best game purchase I have made this year. I am well into my Cao Cao campaign and I am having a ton of fun. So at the very least they need to make it so I can flip them back.Īlso question to anyone who might know: I’ve got a spy embedded as a general and he’s slowly becoming less satisfied so i’m starting to worry he’s going native, there’s no option to pull them back (which strikes me as rather odd) and I don’t have the option to promote him since he’s in the field being a spy, what are you doing to fix this? I can’t figure out what I’m suppose to do as I slowly watch his satisfaction tick down?! I even did it repeatedly to one, stayed vassalized. ![]() Tried influencing others he’s recently flipped, nothing happens. It’s beyond silly at this point and if I try and take it head on by attacking Yuan Shao I’ll have half of China join him in attacking me at the same time, so it’s like committing suicide ending the campaign. ![]() I’ve half a mind to stop accepting coaltions from anyone until this gets tweaked because to accept them is simply to identify them as the next to be vassalized by Yuan Shao, sometimes literally the next turn. I’m loving my campaign as Cao Cao, but I’ll admit I’m getting pretty frustrated by the Yuan Shao antics. ![]()
